Many others have jobs I wouldn’t even pretend to understand. I have no idea what a Commodities Lawyer does on an average day, or a Neuroscientist, or a Clinical Governance Lead.
The thing about my job is that most people truly believe that they know exactly what I do at work. But if they shadowed me for a day I think most would be in for quite a surprise.
On an average day of work I have tiny glimmers of insight into many different lives. And I come away with some very complex feelings that I need to process.
For me poetry is the perfect way to cram a multitude of feelings and ideas into just a few words. It’s my way of unpicking the day.
